Paarl is a historical town in the Cape Winelands, one that is known for its charming character, good wines and breath-taking views of the Western Cape mountains. More than this, though, it is also home to the Frater Square Shopping Centre.
This centre exudes a laid-back style and a warm welcome that is so typical of a village setting. The building was erected in 1845 and has been used for a number of different things over the generations. This gives it a classic style, a timeless elegance that has stood the test of time. Today, though, it is brimming with wine shops, décor boutiques, hair and beauty salons, clothing boutiques, and an ample supply of fine restaurants. Some of the local stores and salons include Elli, House of Crystal, The Cosmedic Centre, Body20 Studio, Winelands Photography, Wild Orchid clothing boutique, and Gallery Eduan.
The eateries comprise the indulgent Melissa’s, ever-moreish Primi Piatti, Bread and Butter, and Vino Solo, where some of the finest wines can be sampled within a setting of utter indulgence and luxury.
The Kids’ Zone is just the place for busy parents who need to keep little ones occupied while they dash around and do their shop. This facility allows children to play and interact in a safe, fun environment while parents are able to get their errands done.
The Frater Square Shopping Centre boasts plenty of parking spaces as well as wheelchair access and 24-hour security. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the mall.
Frater Square is situated on the main road of Paarl and is, as a result, accessible and easy to find. Paarl is just over 70 kilometres from Cape Town.
