Kiepersol is a quaint little town found in the beautiful Lowveld in South Africa. Kiepersol is situated close to Hazyview and is very near the Numbi Gate of the Kruger National Park.

Kiepersol is the name of an indigenous tree, also known as the Cabbage Tree. This tree proliferates in the Lowveld area with its unique beauty and unusual shapes. It is also believed that the name 'kiepersol' comes from the Portuguese Quinta-sol or Indian Kitty-sol, which are both words for a parasol or sunshade. In Kiepersol there are gorgeous and lush banana plantations wherever you look. The undulating hills of this sub-tropical area are also perfect for growing giant avocados, mangos and macadamia nuts.

Kiepersol boasts a rather unique beauty and an abundance of exciting activities. According to motor bike riders, it is one of the best areas in the world to go cruising and many motorbike rallies and tours are organized around here. Many also enjoy hiking through the forest whilst marvelling at the abundant and vibrant South African birdlife. Other exciting activities include river rafting, horse-riding and hot air ballooning in this scenic part of the country. For some experience in the art and culture of the area make your way down to the Shangana Cultural Village on the R535 to Graskop. This promises to be a great outing where Shangaan traditions can be experienced.

Tucked into folds in the undulating hills are some of the most exclusive and delightful guest houses and lodges. In fact, Nelson Mandela was a regular visitor to to one of the Lodges in Hazyview. The accommodation in this gorgeous little town is truly spectacular. Kiepersol is a stunning and scenic area of the Lowveld. The unique beauty of Kiepersol complements all exciting activities and accommodation. Visitors will definitely not regret choosing this area as a holiday destination.
