Glenmore, Durban

Glenmore
Glenmore, Durban

The quiet and leafy suburb of Glenmore, not to be confused with the beachside town of Glenmore Beach on the South Coast, lies south-west of the city centre of Durban, alongside the suburb of Glenwood, and down the ridge from the beautiful grounds of the University of Natal and across Berea Road from the Berea.

Primarily a residential area, it presents a homely atmosphere, free of the noises of traffic and commercial disturbances. It is centrally located, between Glenwood and Westville, and conveniently within easy access to the major bus routes to the city centre, beaches, and to several major freeways, meaning that it is minutes from anywhere in Durban.

The ICC (International Convention Centre) and Exhibition Centres are a quick trip into town, the rugby and cricket stadiums are easy to reach and The Pavilion shopping centre, with hours of shopping and entertainment value, is a quick trip up the western freeway, the N3.
