This metropolis is always abuzz with locals and international tourists that are taking advantage of the many restaurants, bars, clubs, shopping malls, markets and outdoor attractions of the area.
Doonside was once known as Middleton, after its founder. However, in 1910, the name was changed to Doonside, after the house of Lorna Doon.
